That's not correct. Perl's website is http://www.perl.org/.
Better write "available from any DJGPP mirror" next time.
Otherwise we contradict the idea of mirrors. --- Forum admin |

You're right, I stand corrected. Alright, everyone delete 5.8.8 and reinstall 5.6.1! That's an order, private!

They only list 5.6.1 (which is outdated, newer version exists). Therefore, why would I link to an old version?? --- Know your limits.h |

5.8.8 is a new Perl, integrating older CPAN and GNU Perls. Version info at:

DOS files are in /current/v2gnu at DJGPP mirrors

That's incomplete. Juan also built DJGPP Perl with DJGPP 2.04. So this is in /beta/v2gnu . --- Forum admin |

Ach so. The one in /current is built with DJGPP 2.02. I'll list both in Free Software for DOS and let the users figure out what to do with them. Anybody who uses Perl should be able to, right? |

I think so. I only used Perl once for some forum software. --- Forum admin |

I meant that DOS indeed has an up-to-date port of 5.8.8, but that version isn't listed yet. So, I figured it was necessary to announce so that people don't get the wrong idea (or worse yet, use an old version!). --- Know your limits.h |
