I was wondering why telnet didn't work. :-P

P.S. CC386 can compile FreeDOS edlin now with CATGETS (yay, internationalizationizing, see here for a simple compile HOWTO).

Because http:// implies a website (not gopher:// or telnet:// or news://). ;-)
