FD FDISK and USB key (Users)

Hi,

someone know like create a FAT32 partition on a usb key using freedos fdisk.
(i loaded usb drivers before starting fdisk..)

Fdisk from datalight dos can create partition on usb key, BUT NOT fat 32,
only fat16 exetended or non dos partition.

Thanks

Roberto

FD FDISK and USB key

Hi,

maybe a problem of the driver? My BIOS supports USB HDs and USB sticks. And I hadnt a problem.

(I cannot write more, because my desktop pc is far away from me until next year.)

Bye

So you are using Datalight ROM DOS w/ native DOS USB drivers to try to create a FAT32 partition on a USB flash drive? IIRC, the FreeDOS package of FDISK (as well as my disk #2) also includes SPFDISK (which works on SATA) and XFDISK since FD Fdisk isn't quite up to par (yet?). I haven't really messed with any of 'em much, though, to be honest.

The better working solution is probably (?) just to use GNU/Linux or MS Windows (or whatever w/ USB support) to do it for you instead of relying on imperfect, unofficial DOS USB drivers.
