"Grand" reopening! (Announce)

OK, folks. I hope, you have learned your lesson! I open this forum again to give a communication platform to nice and calm people. :waving:

Take a deep breath before posting! :-)

Remember: This forum is about x86 DOS. So if you just want to fight each other, do it by e-mail or play a game of chess. Otherwise I'll deny guest posts and start banning users.

"Grand" reopening!

Congratulations! I'm glad to see this forum working again. There are only few DOS forums and this forum is one of the most popular.

I won't mind if you start banning anonymous users right now

Please tell where in the forum rules you found that anonymous users aren't allowed/tolerated? Or at least tell us how you verified your identity to the admin.

That's not what I say. But most of the trouble here was cased by anonymous users.

It's up to Robert to decide when and what to do, of course :-)

> Or at least tell us how you verified your identity to the admin.

What do you mean?! If you click on "user info" in a post of mine, you'll see my name (in Latin transcription).

That's something completely different! I favour real names too, but I gave up to force users to put their real names here.

And yes, I know the real name of "sol" and he did a lot for DOS in past years.

Banning users just because of a - rather obscure - theory sounds slightly unwise to me. But if you manage to convince rr ...

Is the concept of "lying" unknown to you? If yes, then just click at my id (japheth) ...... ok, now you might know what I meant by "verify an identity".

Most trouble has been caused by continuous (intentional) misunderstandings by Jack and others. And Jack already did it again. He refused Sol's constructive criticism as I understand it, but attacked him between the lines. Please calm down all! :waving:

Oh! Again Jack is guilty! Whatever happens - Jack is guilty. Even if he gets attacked and just defends himself! Do you seriously think so?! I can't believe!

This reminds me on our proverb about the stone and the jar. If the stone hits the jar, the jar breaks. If the jar hits the stone, again the jar breaks...

Please don't turn Jack into a "scapegoat" for all that has happened here!

So, the now anonymous S.O.L. has contriuted to DOS in the past and has created a DOS boot disk? OK, could you please give me an URL to download this boot disk?

There is also the assumption of "honest unless otherwise proven", same as "innocent unless proven otherwise". But you obviously assume "liar unless otherwise proven". Why?

We're not a bunch of thugs and Robert is not the police. If we are here, that is because we like DOS. This is a hobby. Why should we lie each other then?!

This was a good demonstration, thanks. Now please change it to the real name.

1) Why did you not follow my petition "Please calm down all!"? :-(
2) Jack, and now you, are guilty for continuous intentional misunderstandings.
3) Jack wasn't attacked by Sol. Sol wanted to help Jack to understand other people.

> Please don't turn Jack into a "scapegoat" for all that has happened here!

He's neither a scapegoat nor a martyr, but he is not innocent; as you, Steve, Japheth, ..., and me in the past.

Sorry, Sol's website is no longer available.

Good question; "But why do you always want to fight then?"
Jack and others are really tired of this, but you always blow the coals again.

Let us return to doing something more useful to the DOS community!

That's not true, you're taking me for someone else. I'm a very peaceful man.

So now you defend Jack from me? Heaven forbid him such a defence!

Why not, Mr. judge, add these simple rules to the forum rules?

1. Jack is always guilty for all the trouble in the forum, no matter what he does.
2. If Jack is not guilty, see rule 1.
3. All who defend Jack automatically become guilty too.
4. If they're not guilty, see rule 3.

But you always accuse us for attacking Jack, which is not true.

That's simple: I'm not anybody's puppet. :-D
Maybe you want to drive your own discussion board to show these rules to the world?

Setting The Record Straight!!

To set the record straight, Professor Luchezar I. Georgiev is my friend and
one of my 3 most trusted and most valued advisors in all my "free" software
work. As his views are VERY similar to mine, I need NO "defense" from ANY
of his prior comments on this forum, DESPITE any "twisted" words by some on
this board today.

Anyone who thinks differently ranks among the WORST "Fortune's FOOLS" since
Shakespeare penned that expression over 400 years ago.

With apologies to the many good people that use this forum, there are still
some here who wish it to remain the same-old "Sandbox" for them to play in,
where only THEIR opinions "count", and anything from Lucho or me is at-best
a misunderstanding and is subject to any ATTACKS those "guys" wish to make.

As Jeennie C. Riley sang in 1962, "Well, this is just a little Peyton Place
and you're all Harper-Valley HYPOCRITES!!" 45 years, since that song, and
nothing, CERTAINLY NOTHING, has changed in this sad world. Some "guys" on
this forum or on those of the Circus Maximus are fooling nobody. They are
nothing, certainly nothing "new".

You'll heed your pal, and not complain when you get what you give, right?

Since some might count silence as approval, I want to say: I'm absolutely innocent.
