DOS ain't dead

The Open Watcom contributors released Open Watcom 1.7, Release Candidate 1 on 10 July 2007.

Open Watcom C/C++ for Win32 download is `only' ~62 Mbytes. (same as for version 1.6)

Note: According to Peter C. Chapin Release Candidate 2 will probably be available in a few days.

That means they'll probably release as-is if no bugs are found. They usually do pretty quickly after putting up a RC.

Probably a .ZIP sfx, if they stick to the same style as last time. So, you can download it and unzip it manually on DOS. (Or wait for someone like Arkady to manually package .ZIPs like in 1.3 and earlier.)
