DOS ain't dead

In February/ March 2015 FredMacallhttp://users.ohiohills.com/fmacall/#ytcrack released a update of ytcrack.
It works fine but the problem is that - for how many attempts I made -
I cannot find on youtube a music video ( nor others video) you can download it once was.
Using ytcrack the normal response is something like:

And trying to download one of them with links, the connection
ends without result.
any ideas?

At the bottom of generated YTCrack page is a link to download...

YouTube's latest video player, version: flugm_Hi

Hit that link and save the file into the YTCrack directory as...

flugm_Hi.js

Now, run YTConfig and YTCrack again on the saved YT page
and the invalid signatures will be corrected like so...

19 invalid signature(s) found.
19 of these corrected using version based rule.

Andrea,
FWIW, I have made a (mostly) reliable setup with Links using Fred's YTCrack.
It isn't as seamless as it used to be with Arachne (before YT turned https),
but it works pretty well - with Links 2.8 and Links 2.9.

Requires a bit of setting-up, but once in place it seldom fails.
Should I put a package together, with instructions ?

Note: With an added APM, Arachne still finds and downloads vids from Youtube.

...thanks, actually I had not fully understood the use
of ytconfig that ( I think) is essential to open the file youtube,
I can download them now!

thanks for your interest: in fact, I already was using your fine batch program to download from youtube in Links.
The problem, I believe, came from the fact that without using the ytconfig
often the result was zero.
(About arachne, the problem is that I cannot log in youtube with arachne as I did long ago and using ytcrack.apm)

Did you use it as in the read-me ?

When used as set out in the read-me, yt.bat also calls ytconfig.bat.
That way I have not had a failure.

you're right. I certainly made a mistake in setting up your program.
In fact your yt.bat automatically calls the ytconfig and allows download
from youtube.
I solved the problem, thanks again
