   | New version of mTCP library and new version of FreeCOM (Announce) |

     | It is beautiful that we have a new year gifts!I wonder that Michael Brutman haven't introduced here his update himself - because he released a new version of his great mTCP library.
Enjoy and dowload from his site here

Also, a new version of the COMMAND.COM from the FreeDOS is released. Download from the FreeDOS page
It seems that after several years the FreeDOS 1.3 will be really finaly released

     | I'm here - I've just been very busy. This version includes source code.
You might want to fix that link - it is broken. The correct link is http://www.brutman.com/mTCP/

And just for giggles, I have the PCjr setup to serve the same web pages. You can see it in action at http://50.125.82.27:8088/mtcp/ and view the internal server status page at http://50.125.82.27:8088/proc/Status .

(The PCjr was released in late 1983. This particular machine is running at 4.77Mhz with a NEC V20 CPU, an IDE adapter with a 20GB hard drive, and a Western Digital 8003WT Ethernet adapter. It's been running over 24 hours now.)

 Happy New Year!
 Mike

     | Nice to see there is still some progress on FreeCom after more than 10 years :)I was also surprised of mention about GCC-IA16 compiler for DOS that was used for compiling new FreeCom (along with TC and OW). I currently don't have a need to compile for older machines than 386 but it may come handy:

Yep... those machines may be old, but are not obsolete. :)
