Hi Rugxulo! I really like your DOS site: (http://www.geocities.com/snoopimeanie/freedos.htm)
Awesome! I have a question: is safe to use the WIP FreeDOS kernel?
I use the 2036, in the past I tried 2037 but it has so many bugs so I had to downgrade back to 2036.

Secondly - in your compilers list is missing Euphoria - http://www.rapideuphoria.com/

And last but not least - maybe you could add a warning to game XQuest2. It is absolutely addicting game. If you start playing it you quickly forget about food, drink, work and sex.
Risky. :-D

The latest Sep. 15 version of the kernel fixes the TRUENAME / SUBST bug. Some people really dislike 2037 (e.g. Tom according to Eric) because it implemented too many features without enough review (or something like that). Anyways, 2036 is good, but if something doesn't work on it, try 2037 or 2038pre. This is why I put these three versions on different disks (#1: 386+ Sep. 15 2038pre, #2: 8086+ 2037 WinKern, #3: 8086+? 2036 stable).

EDIT: MetaKern is probably your friend if you need multiple DOS kernels. ;-)

Euphoria is interesting (and finally open source), but there is no longer a DOS installer. So, I'm not too interested so far to download / install / .ZIP up for DOS target. Apparently, neither are they! ;-)

P.S. There's always tons more links I could post, but I haven't got it all organized, it's mostly in my head. :-D

I actually find Dungeon Crawl much more interesting (even if hard because of permadeath, heh).
