Interresting czech software (Users)

If you look for good DOS software you should look into post-communistic countries where Windows came later than in west Europe or America.
Look here:
http://osdos.net - and then "Download"

It not open source or freeware - it is abandonware. If you don't like don't read further.

Very interresting is all from company 602 software or from Cybex. Some of their programs have also english language implemented some not.

Personaly I most like a text editor Klasik. Installation is difficult - you have to select serial number and slowdown processor etc. so I uploaded on my site the installed application: http://laaca-mirror.ic/klasik.rar

Other interresting czech site is this one http://www.asz486.org
It is a center of czech downgrade scene.
Important is that they have a very rare program: Ontrack disk manager.
It allows you to avoid BIOS limitations for large harddisks.
http://www.asz486.org/sw/3/ontrack.zip

Ahead NTFS Driver

This site contains a very interesting thing - Ahead NTFS Driver. I have never seen it earlier. It is working, but situation with LFN and codepages is not clear.

Don't Do This!!

To Laaca and RayeR:

Please don't do this!!

You are both from a nation that I respect, and I have had valuable and
meaningful discussions recently with both of you.

One of my most valued friends, a lady who managed my apartment building
in 1980-1982, and became my "Surrogate Mother" (same as her husband was
my "Surrogate Father") was from Czechoslovakia, the part that is now the
Czech Republic. She was from an area which went back-and-forth being
Czech, Hungarian, Czech, etc. and she considered herself Hungarian.
But, she still DID in fact speak Czech.

Without their help through some VERY hard times in the 1980s and 1990s,
it is doubtful any of you in "free" software would ever have known me.

PLEASE do not get into quarrels as I am so-often forced into! You are
both COUNTRYMEN of the same country and valued Gentlemen, whose command
of technical English is FAR better than my command of any other language!

Please DON'T DO THIS!! NOT worth it, as I well know!!

Eee?
What we shall not to do? Don't enter the potential "malign" discussions or don't provide links to not 100% legal software?
Anyway, it is maybe strange for you but czech laws don't know the term "giving up of the authors rights" - so all open source is in very unclear juristic state. If f.e. an open source program causes a damage of user data, the creator can be -theoreticaly- punished. I don't know any of such cause, however.

The WARMONGER Speaks Again!!

Greetings, "Sol", or Whoever-in-BLOODY-HELL you really are!! Still being
only a WARMONGER and the Biggest DISGRACE to Canada I've ever seen, aren't
you!!

Three more postings for my "running" E-Mail file to RR.

I am not ashamed, not at all, for writing what I did to Laaca and RayeR,
just in case any postings between them MIGHT have been a problem. Can't
you understand THAT, you God-Damned WARMONGER!!

Three more postings for my "running" E-Mail file to RR.

And, very soon, for the nearest Canadian Consulate, as well. Since your
country is FAR closer to the British system of law than mine, they may be
able to track you down, show some "interest" in any passport you hold, and
prehaps get you a bit of "re-education", as well!!

Just TRY ME, Boy!! To paraphrase Richard Boone's GREAT 1950s T.V. series,
"Have Car, WILL TRAVEL"!!

You really give new depth and meaning to the terms "delusional" and "dunce"

Exactly. Not worth it. I agree, software is "soft", but personal fights
between COUNTRYMEN should most-often be able to be avoided!

I was just joking (hope you use graphics browser and saw the smile or translated aski), remembering what said Lucho about criminals when RR removed link to sample video for maplayer I had provided. My attitude to publishing abandonware (and not only) is very positive :) Thanks to Dagon made this sw collection, I found there a few interesting programs which I didn't know before.

Ahead NTFS Driver

For accessing NTFS from DOS in R/W mode I use Avira NTFS for DOS Version 1.9, it works for me well.

Yeah, people have such terrible tunnel-vision that they forget what copyright is for. The concept was to protect the creator of the given work from losing $$$ for a period of time.

Old DOS software that has no recognizable market share (and can no longer even be purchased) doesn't need this kind of protection, it's not profiting the author(s) either way.

The WARMONGER From Canada Continues!

To Laaca: My sincere apologies to you, that the thread you began has now
been "co-opted" (used for another purpose) by a WARMONGER from Canada who
simply REFUSES to be SILENT!

To the WARMONGER from Canada: 13K+ bytes in my "running" E-Mail file for
RR, and now for "others" as you made clear SHALL be necessary. Just how
much MORE, WARMONGER, do you wish me to add in my file??

My Apologies, Martin!

My apologies, Martin! We have not had too much contact and I hope we WILL
have more, under far better circumstances. My understanding of the symbol
you used is that it is for LAUGHTER, not a smile like :-) and following the
words "Burn in Hell", a rather SEVERE term, I had REASON to be worried.

Glad to hear this is not so, and there is no problem!

As for other comments that followed, "What the Klingon says does not matter
and we do not hear his words!" Dr. McCoy to Captain Kirk, in an old "Star
Trek" episode -- McCoy had called the Klingon a LIAR in the language of the
Capellans whom they were visiting. Applies quite-well to my antagonist in
this thread!

YOU are the only warmonger in this discussion. Laaca, RayeR and sol were only offering their views on the usefulness of a site and the software it lists. NOT ONE engaged in any type of insult or threat. Who needs YOU?

Yes and even more, nice example we can see on (build based) games Duke Nukem 3D and Blood. 3D Realms made Duke free with sources which let game fans to make a new better engine for it to live longer. Monolith is keeping Blood closed and made it die. Of course true fans found an obscure way how to run it via dgVoodoo+VDMSound under 2K/XP or as I tried in linux DOSemu...

The WARMONGER From Canada Continues!

> Who needs YOU?

Lots of users in the world.

There're countless users or developers mail me and say "Thank you" to Jack, since he release UDMA.

But now thanks to the few "outcasts of human nation". Notice I don't use Nazis because I think some of the Nazis at least love their country (Hitler don't, he love himself and absolute power) and their people, though killing others nations people are damn wrong.

I suppose you neither can code your own UDMA drivers or you have no idea what UDMA is, you never want to use the driver, no problem! But keep your mouth talking fouls only, don't touch the coding things you don't know.

I don't care how fouls your mouth is, but I'm tired to reply loads of emails from all over the world, crying for the drivers.

Maybe yes, maybe no - you don't know.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Why don't you tell me, just to be sure.

Guess what! I didn't touch Jack's code! You want the world to have Jack's drivers? Post them! I'm not stopping you.

Tell your friend Jack. Nobody here forced him to withdraw the drivers, and even he did not force you to take them down. What's the problem? You post lots of stuff without permission from owners.

OK, Jacko, I'm going to do you a favor. I know who and where sol is. Go to this location:
234 Blizzard Boulevard
Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada

Ask for Sgt. Doright.

So hit the road now, Jack, it's a long trip. Don't forget to take a warm sweater and an extra can of gasoline.

I have to repeat --- Luckily only 4 so far, fantastic four!

I don't need to know, and I don't want to know.

Your life is just like a 6502 OP Code: EA
Go find what it means!

To pee or not to pee, that's your question (not mine)

If you have enough height to touch, try!
Try modify anything and make it run, boy!

I respect Jack, so I listen to his advise, remove them.

Because most of the people have ethics, and know what is SHAME.
But seems you don't ... maybe you're alien, have different interpretation from us human.

We love our neighbor and respect them, if you want to fight or make trouble, why not go outside play high and F__K yourself!

You don't know me, I ask the author permission before posting.
I'm educated, not born from a rock or raise in the jelly, don't know when batercia evolve so quick that it speak human language.

Too bad I didn't speak good English, why not talk to me in Cantonese, I believe baterica learn quick, since they eat the neighbors and brothers.

You have permission from MS?

Education is not the same as ethics. Any scum can go to school.

So study English a little more. I believe baterica learn quick, since they eat the neighbors and brothers.
