Collection of color themes for the FED editor (Users) |
As Jim Hall recently published a YouTube video about Setting the colors in the FED editor, I'd like to share several color themes of mine. I created these nearly two years ago and most are inspired by other more or less known programs.
Because FED capabilities regarding color themes are limited, often I couldn't just replicate the original program's themes, but had to decide which way to go. Some themes only exist for completeness, because I found them boring, but YMMV.
I would be happy to see your themes too.
Do install any of these themes, quit FED and open your FED's fed.cfg file with another text editor. Then paste the values from the forum over the # colors block.

Notepad2 does not support different color themes, but it inspired me enough to create these rather dark variants.

Meanwhile I verified color settings. They were correct, but I was just confused, because in FED there is no difference between "#include ..." and "int ...", but in KC there is. --- Forum admin |

Thanx. These are great.
I don't really use FED, but is great to have an option.
Btw, one of these reminds of VIM's default theme on DOS. |

rr, thanks for these!
FWIW, here's my own minor contribution, which is intentionally very minimalist and boring (and seemingly against the current trend of "dark themes"), and primarily gets used on Windows (my current DOS FED theme is a variant of this with a blue background and some other tweaks, similar to some others in your collection):

It (again, intentionally) only colors comments and nothing else re: programming language syntaxes (e.g., anything defined in fed.syn), and otherwise just tries to call attention to selections and folds. But strings, numbers, keywords, etc. are all just the same (black) text. |
