DOS music composition programs? (Users) |
Hi everyone,
The kind of program I seek allows you to use your computer keyboard to
play notes, if that resonates.
Found an older copy of cakewalk, which may manage this, but wished to ask
in case there is something else to consider?
Running Pure DOS here.
thanks,

Creative Labs Sound BlasterĀ“s installation disks had some simple music programs:
1) "Sound Blaster Pro Intelligent Organ program" v1.04 (PRO-ORG.EXE) that lets you use your PC keyboard or MIDI-attached keyboard (connected via an adapter cable on the game port) to play music on the PC.
(see https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=20786&highlight=#152531)
2) "Creative FM Intelligent Organ Program" v2.01
... a software similar to the previous
On the other hand, there are programs like "Fast Tracker" v2.08 or similar |
