I'm not sure what your definition of "truly free" is.

In most of our democracies, we have implemented a
definition of "freedom". The only thing left is
quibbling. E.g. do I have a "right" to take heroin?

Every law that the government is enforcing can be
overturned via a non-violent process. If you can't
get the laws you want, it's because you can't
convince 50.00001% of the population that you can
do a better job than those currently doing the job.

No it isn't. If you had ever had your tongue cut out
by your own government, or been raped by your own
government, you would understand that freedom has a
meaning and value.

But you've had your human rights protected to the nth
degree since the day you were born so have lost the
concept of what it means to be a (state) slave.
