GPL source hosting requirement (Announce)

The GPL says not at all to host. It says you must make available the source on request, against a nominal fee covering costs. Such nominal fee can be in the magnitude of $50. (since manhours count as cost and must also be covered)

So tarring the sources of the module that you changed (or diffs and the original archives) is enough.

So you put the diffs on your website and compy with the spirit. If some idiot knocks on your door and says "I don't want to apply the diffs etc, I want the orginals as required by GPL", you adhere to the letter of the GPL and burn a DVD with everything for $50. (not many will ask:-)
