Ah well. What kind of file system is this? I thought "sectors per cluster" for FAT file systems need to be a power of two - at least, to be compatible to (MS-)DOS. There is a field in an internal structure that suggests this. If it is a FAT file system (and you ain't using a special driver), did you format it using the default MS-DOS utilities or a specialized program? In the latter case, does it work well with MS-DOS?
