Hehe, another more complex thing to try would be use of TPM header to connect a DIY PCB with some LPC superIO that supports floppy controller. Even it would be possible to connect Fintek LPC to ISA bridge (like some industrial MB with ISA does onboard). Just an idea, if I'll have some time to play with it...
