A lot of archivers reused the same compression code (with small tweaks), e.g. ARC, LZH, ZOO, ARJ, ZIP, RAR. They were all competing and thus redundant, so I don't expect most people to actively use all of them.
BOOZ was a .ZOO unpacker only. FIZ (?) .ZOO sfx is hard to find. X1 DOS archiver (e.g. on Sac.SK) supported multiple archives including .ZOO (but needed to be restubbed since its older PMODE/W was buggy). There was also a third-party source that supported DJGPP v1 (!). I can't quite remember and would have to search old emails or forum posts, but I think it was UnZOO. I vaguely remember a Cygwin build.

For FAT32, I think dosfsck is preferred.
