I'm happy to make a BTTR standard.

That's fine then.

I just had a look at the msged source code, and they use:

#include <dos.h>

and functions _dos_findfirst() and _dos_findnext().


And so if I'm writing a 64-bit Windows program - or
a 64-bit Linux program for that matter - I just use
those functions and rely on a library vendor (me
putting on a different hat) to provide those
functions using whatever underlying mechanism is
required for that system.

And then Linux and Windows become better DOSes.

Sounds fine to me.
