I think it's not DJGPP neither even a GCC bug. I think it's on responsibility of DOS and libC. While DJGPP libC didn't changed for long years it must be somewhere else. I use latest DJGPP with GCC 4.7.0 under MSDOS 6.22 and don't have such problem (no share.exe loaded). I remember that I reported some problem with opening some non existing or..., I don't remember, file where the test program got correct error on MSDOS while didn't get error on freedos. This is rerason why I use MSDOS as a reference - less buggy :)
