Uh, my problem that I don't check much often for years old threads as I use threaded view by default...

So it seems nvidia sucks even harder with every new model. Did you solved the scanline problem? It shouldn't be hard in own library but how about old SW? Is the strange scanline size reported for all BPPs (8 and 32 too)? VGA register incompatabilities sound scary, have it some link that cards (probably) use UEFI FW?

My GTX670 is dying, I did reballing of all 8 memory chips but some week ago I got artefects and OS freeze caused by GPU. I temporarly fixed it by reflow of GPU with hot-airgun but this will not last much long. So I ordered stencil for GPU reballing to be ready to give a try when it die again but this reball operation may result in permanent death. So I seek for some decent replacement. I dont's want go for anything newer than GTX 9x0 because those are the last with WinXP support. I heard that GTX 960 are quite trouble-less and not much heating due to better chip litography but this cards cannot be bought as new anymore and I cannot guess the condition of used card but probably no other way. I also hope that GTX 960 has not much VGA/VESA issues than 670...
