Requirements:

HWiNFO for DOS:
===============
- 80386 or later CPU
- ~ 550 KB of free Conventional system memory
- ~ 830 KB (Non-PCI systems) / 5 MB (PCI systems) free XMS memory (XMS manager recommended)

HWiNFO16 for 8086-286:
======================
- 8086/8088/80186/80188/NEC V20/V30/80286 CPU
- ~300 KB of system memory
- 80x25 text mode
- HWiNFO16 is an esspecially tweaked version for 8086-286 CPUs only. It lacks support of technologies present on 386 and later systems (i.e. CPU ID, EISA, VLB, PCI, etc.)for which HWiNFO should be used.
