packet driver for FreeDOS (Users)
There are various so called "shims" that can convert one network driver API to another so you could reach the packet driver trying this:

Also beware that RTL8111 exists in many variants (B, C, D, E...) that are not fully compatible. I had a problem that Win9x driver that worker with older 8111 revision didn't work with newer chip. But under DOS there's bigger chance it would work.
