BIEW bugs (DOSX)

posted by DOS386, 05.09.2007, 02:48

Well, I discovered following bugs in BIEW so far:

- Scrolling up in hex dump mode -> text vanishes when address 0 touched

- Segment prefixes not displayed in RM disassembly

- CPUID seems to find SSE3 on CPU's not really having it (see shot)

- Crash on exit occasionally

Nevertheless, a very good product :-)

I wonder whether someone uses it and also found some of those or other bugs.

From minimal Win32 tests, the bugs seems to originate from source code, not specific to bttr's D**PP port ;-)

Things that could be improved:

- Startup (ask for file if none given or not found)

- "Text mode" -> "Formatted text mode"
- "Binary mode" -> "Unformatted text mode"
- "Hex mode" -> "Hex / Binary mode"
