No, he didn't say much, just that he had issues with system() with both compilers under FreeDOS. Haven't heard anything else, sorry.

I know there are changes, but it isn't THAT bad, AFAICT. Then again, I don't know the details. (But I do somewhat dislike MinGW for using MSVCRT, just asking for trouble IMHO.) I wish more people used OpenWatcom.
