XMGR not working with Unetbootin (Users)

posted by Paul, 06.04.2010, 17:25

Unetbootin is an open source Windows/Linux program that can take a bootable floppy or CD/DVD image and create a bootable USB device with the same content.

I noticed that the newer versions of Unetbootin will cause XMGR to freeze. I have reported this as a bug to Unetbootin:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/unetbootin/+bug/556416

...but I thought that maybe Mr. Ellis could add some comments on the bug ticket with more detail.

For now, because my floppy distro uses XMGR, I am recommending that people to use an older version of Unetbootin to make bootable USB sticks, but perhaps there are some command line options that will make XMGR work with the current version until they fix their bug?

Thanks,
Paul
