CandyMan's compressor (Announce)

CandyMan's compressor is based on aPLib compression library created by Jorgen Ibsen. Its code includes 80386 processor instructions.

You can download it from here (look for the CMC.7Z file):

Good work. The compression is really fast and the compression ratio is better than in UPX.
But it is dangerous tool because it corrupts the COFF EXE files (created by DJGPP or Freepascal).

BTW UPX has some unresolved Win32 PE corruptions and self-crashes for years, nobody fixing it, so always make a backup before. Even sometimes happens that compressed binary program (win32) starts but crashes later during using (I had such issue with compressing some ...moon browser on WXP...)

Today I fixed one bug in CMC (it happened when the Dos driver was being compressed).
New version ready for download.

NOISE.SYS device driver (from noise063.zip, see https://www.sac.sk/download/security/noise063.zip) is erroneously detected and packed as COM file.

This is possible because "noise.sys" is not a single driver (it does not start with the double word 0xFFFFFFFF).
UPX is also unable to pack it and displays the message:
upxw: noise.sys: UnknownExecutableFormatException
