It is something similar like original Debug from MS-DOS?
Or in other words - does exist some modern a nd more user friendly debugger like f.e. Turbo debugger which was bundled with Turbo pascal?

Such a debugger is shipped with Open Watcom. The executable name is wd.exe. This has a TUI similar to the Borland Debugger. I use it to debug C source (FDISK etc). For me it works, you may give it a try.

Offtopic: It also ships with a decent Vi version :-)

No, it's a v86-monitor, somewhat similiar to TD386 or "SICE for DOS".
