	Any good and (legal freeware or open source) DOS vector graphics applications? Something like Inkscape, even if much simpler (ideally much simpler!). Guess 2D CAD would work as well.

Is the intent to produce graphics and use/display elsewhere? Or is the intent to produce graphics on DOS and use/display on DOS? FWIW, DOjS has SVG rendering via nanosvg - https://github.com/SuperIlu/DOjS

Something like that. The Windows-inspired look is a bit... uninspiring, but looks like it may be worth trying to look past that and try it out a bit.

Not really, no.

I did follow some other link and found something called TINYCAD that looked more like what I had in mind. Very minimalistic. Maybe a bit too much so. No colors or fill patterns. Might work for simple CAD drawings, but not much for vector art in general.

Was hoping for something more like a DOS Inkscape I guess. There were some great pixel graphics programs like VGA Paint and Autodesk Animator, but I do not find anything like it for vector graphics.

As a child I experimented with Fanta Vision
It is from 80s/90s and supports even the CGA card.

I remember that was very easy to create simple animations with it.
