7ZA under HX (4.57 vs. 4.58 alpha 5) (DOSX)

Well, here's a good reason to use HX, you can use the Win32 .EXE of 7-Zip (e.g. 7ZA), which is compiled by MSVC and therefore a very slight bit faster than the DJGPP / GCC port (which is also awesome, though).

In fact, Mr. Pavlov recently requested benchmark tests for 4.57 vs. new 4.58 alpha 5 on his SourceForge forum, and here's my results (if you're curious).

In short, it's (partially) compiled by MSVC 2k8, so it's a noticeable bit faster than 4.57 (but still "alpha" so beware and "test" your results for important files after using it).
