Steve, Khusraw, and lucho have been banned (Miscellaneous)

I temporarily banned Steve, Khusraw, and lucho to protect our kind users.
May they cool down their heads first or continue their "battle" offline.

Why? It is unwise I think. Their flamewars are in particular threads so if you don't want to take part in such discussions you just don't open the thread.
So consider it once more. If it is really necessary you should at least specify how long will they be banned.

No, it's not that easy, because they also pollute other threads like "CTMOUSE 2.1b4 (+bugs) released 2008-06-01".

Why? If I tell in advance how long, they'll come back right after that time. I want to let them stew in their own juice a little. (Two of them have already contacted me off-forum.)

Appreciated!

Since luscho was here for probation only, I vote for banning him permanently now. There's still "Udo's forum" which he can fill with his "contributions".

Agree completely.

Steve wasn't causing a stir until he had things to reply to. The forum was nice and quiet with the exception to DOS stuff until lucho was unbanned.

While there was a lot less activity -- at least it was all DOS stuff. I wasn't posting, but I was visiting and reading :)

Okay, I know that idea was my fault, but I don't think it was a bad move. I do personally think they all have a lot to contribute, even if some of it is off-topic (sadly). :-P Heck, I even semi-considered posting in the ultra-boring Lawyers thread myself, but I guess I've been too busy with DOS. ;-)

In short, temporary ban is fine (your board, rr), but I do suggest not overreacting since we're all flawed anyways. :-|

I always wonder about that. I guess we do have more readers / lurkers than posters.

Khusraw decided to quit this forum forever. Lucho did not, but he showed his disrespect to my decision, so I quit him forever too. Sorry, Rugxulo. Finally I unlocked Steve's account, because he felt guilty to some degree.
