Intel integrated graphics under DOS (Users)

I bought a new computer with intergrated Intel G33 graphics chip.
I only wanted to say that this card is VESA 3.0 compatible, the frequency setting works OK and has lot of graphics modes in modelist.
So I can recomend it for DOS. It doesn't have any Win9x drivers but via VESA drivers by BearWindows can be used in Win9x too.

Anyway, the 3D performance in WinXP is very poor - much less than older GeForce4 card.

Yes, AFAIK only intel graphics currently meets full VBE 3.0 specs (working refresh rate control). I tested integrated i945G and it worked fine too. But as you said no drivers for win9x. Nvidia cards can be used accelerated under win9x up to GeForce 7950/256M with latest unofficial drivers but refresh rate control is supported only on GF4 and older...

What ICH is on your board? ICH9/10? Did you tried USB 2.0 and drives how it works under win9x?

I have ICH7.
USB 2.0 seems to work under Win98 but some of my flashdisks don't work more although with VIA KT133 worked all of them.
Another problem are incompatibility problems with SBLive! cards (seems like IRQ conflict between SBLive! and USB controller) and not working SB Legacy emulation with SB 128PCI.

Aha, I saw ICH7 in combination only with P/G31 and G41...
ICH7 is well supported in modified INF.

Do you have transfer rate over 1MB/s? Then it works in USB 2.0 mode. nUSB 3.3 makes it working. Then you should have "USB 2.0 root hub" in device manager.
I tested few USB flash disk and some HDD box and all works fine. With WD book 2.5" I can get over 30MB/s when reading single file.

Yes SB DOS emulation is not working on this new chipsets - known problem that I reported before... Only DOS apps with native SB live drivers (MPXplay, QuickView...) can play.
