Ok, you knew this was coming..;-)

Just what does "to some extent" mean exactly. I've just read that "changing a threads priority may not make any difference". May not? Please elaborate.

Also:

Does HX implement priority boosting?
How does it handle file I/O and other DOS calls?
What is the timeslice, and can it be changed?
Does a complete timeslice have to have elapsed before a context-switch can occur?
What timer does it use - the PIT#0 or the RTC interrupt?
Can an application reprogram PIT#0 without it screwing up the task scheduler?
