The default NASM 0.97 for DOS runs out of memory quickly. But, RDF 1.1 is (AFAIK) the only "working" version of RDOFF that WDOSX supports, so in that case, I use NASM 0.97 (Win32 version, stubbed by WDOSX, heh, able to use more memory than 16-bit compile).

Don't worry, we all make mistakes. (I misspelled "February" in two of my recent posts. Oops.) :rotfl:

But FYI, FASM is indeed a backend to various compilers: HLA, PureBasic, BlitzMax, Context/Win32, B0. (Taken from FASM's Wikipedia page.) So yes, it is freely available for most uses.
