Regrettably self compilability is a feature unique to FASM

Maybe there are neither stupid answers, nor stupid questions, just stupid dreams ?

And maybe it would be a good idea to lock this > 1/2 year old, obsolete and messy 1.8pre (!!!) thread and open a new one, at occasion of 1.95 final ?
