Ok then, so what about a seperate executible that the user can call from command line or scripts and "use at own risk"?

Something like this;

AHCI

/status (Displays AHCI mode)
/envar (Saves AHCI status to environment variable)
/enable (AHCI on)
/disable (AHCI off)
