GNASH 0.8.1 for Win32 released (Announce)

If you want me to test it in pure DOS, point me to some real-world examples, and I will (DOS386? Any links?). But if the Win32 build requires MSVCRT.DLL, that makes it useless, IMO, and not (barely?) worth messing with.

I did try GNASH ("alpha" state?) in Win XP, but like I said, not as a plugin, so I dunno of an easy way to test the YouTube support with that.

P.S. Are you worried about server space or your phone bill or just annoyed at semi-useless messages like mine? Sorry, just bored / overly eager to post here, I guess. The main problem for me re: this is that the forum is slightly clunky to read with lots of messages in a thread. Plus, it won't let you edit your own posts after 12 hours, so I can't delete previous messages. :-|

P.P.S. GNU considers reimplementing Flash via GNASH a high priority (like they did with GCJ). They don't like proprietary formats. So yes, apparently, having GNASH work is indeed a big deal for many people.
