Did you also see this post although USB a very basic level?

There is some good EHCI info out there, so I guess as with all these things it comes down to time. I remember Linux taking ages (or it at least it seemed that way) to implement USB with a far large group of developers. Even then 2.5.2 etc seemed to take even longer to spread. Fortunately most Linux projects now support USB but I'm impressed with what Bret and Georg (and a few others) have achieved.
