FreeDOS on SBC188 (Announce)

The memory usage of FreeDOS is probably due to FreeCOM (their command.com) not swapping itself away when you run another program. I think (as per Rugxulo's comments) that this is only implemented one way per build, and the default build requires XMS for its swap method.

About how to know that, I cannot tell you. This thread is the first I've ever heard of the SBC188 so I don't know the details either. Perhaps someone else who works with these boards knows more. Anyway, it isn't that important.
