Soundcard emulation in DOS on non-legacy hardware. Possible? (Emulation)

This is a very good avenue to pursue. Heck, a small TSR which could do this automatically every time upon reboot wouldn't be that difficult to write, and would be far less risky than modification of the ROM and reflashing the BIOS and its checksums and so on.

Thanks very much for pointing out this project of yours! I'm going to try this image and see how I fare. Running 16-bit code on UEFI-only system is very complicated compared to merely "fixing" a bad video BIOS of Intel's, I think. Congratulations for attempting the project. If I can help its progress in some possible way, please send me a PM.
