As you wrote in your answer 1 month back, a crash occurs if you rename DPMIST32.BIN into an EXE and run it :clap:

Please don't be more pessimistic than necessary ;-)

I always test on a REAL machine first :clap: ... just rename (the valid or "INVALID" version of) DPMIST32.BIN into X.EXE and run it in DOS ;-)

DPMIST32.BIN renamed into X.EXE + DPMILD32.

YES, it's just a small open problem ... and would be maybe easy to fix ? ;-)
