That's not surprising - you need that same driver for almost any dos internet stuff (for example for all WATTCP programs).

I've got it up and running on EDR-DOS. I use it when I use my DOS comp. It has a wired PCI nic (Realtek RTL-8139), it connects to internet trough router. Arachne detects settings using DHCP.

Well I gues, if you own the hardware, you are also entitled to use a driver for it, no mather where you've got it from (at least if it was released by the company that made the hardware).
