NO. The affected JPG's are not JPEG-2000. JPEG-2000 is completely different from original JPG and completely useless (most other viewers will ("issues") reject them as well and no browser support at all BTW) because of the ridiculously restrictive licensing policy :-P

Mostly true ... just no PNG and limited JPG support only, and some others are open source ("freer") ;-)

But what ? Source release ? Adding PNG ? Allow redistributing with your Distro ?

Missed something ? :crying: PNG "really just" as temporary hack obsoleted by LZW84 patent expiry ? PNG is the by far most useful image format ... and if a browser or viewer doesn't support it - fault of the browser or viewer :rotfl: And it's for photographic images as well (lostless, but less compression than JPG of course) ;-)
