- Lock/Unlock is a problem specific to DGJPP & CWSDPMI ;-)
- DOS low memory ... OK
- Interrupt ... OK
it it all ???

Still, the dependency could be minimalized ;-)

What is HD ??? Intel HDA AKA ICH8 and above?

GPF is for code, not for format spec. So you can set the format spec license to public domain, optionally reserving the right to personally control the "official" spec.

Also, a GPL'ed driver wouldn't infect the spec nor other drivers following the same spec, however it could conflict with DUGL core.

So a BSD license would be a good choice for the driver code.
