looking for modern image viewers (Users)

800x480 should be supported by your VESA 2 BIOS to be usable.
Any way I can try to initialise this graphic mode, and if not available revert to 640x480

Ok, but as you have a very few memory I guess that the viewer will keep in memory only one image.

The ALT key to enable menu bar is currently not available on DUGL Plus GUI,
But I guess that the image viewer require only 6 buttons on the bottom of the window ("open" ,"page up", "page down", "begin", "end", "quit") You will have to use tab to move the focus to the wanted button and press space or use keyboard shortcut.
