mTCP new release 27/June/2010 - now ported to Open Watcom (Announce)

posted by mbbrutman Homepage, Washington, USA, 01.07.2010, 07:08

Sorry about the newline chars .. I probably wrote that file using VI under Cygwin. I'll get that fixed for the next release. :-)

I've had a small flurry of updates recently. The biggest news is that I ported everything to Open Watcom from Turbo C++. OW generates much better code and I can run the compiler natively under Windows, which improves my productivity tremendously. (I had been developing on a real 386-40 before. Now that is just for testing.)

For the most part the apps are a little smaller and the speed is a little better. For things like IRC and telnet the speed doesn't matter much, but it is quite measurable/noticeable on FTP.

I'm still planning to open source this sometime. I just want to get it relatively clean and complete first.
