Well there is news about a new nuclear power plant in Finland: It started producing electricity this year and the bill was 11 000 000 000 Euro while original plan was to finish it in 2010 for 3 000 000 000 Euro.

Imagine all the gigawatts the Finns could have installed for that price without having to wait an extra 12 years.

Or think about Hinkley Point C, which only got built at all because the UK government promised to pay far more than the market price for any electricity sold by them:

People really have to be blinded by ideology to still build those things. Probably the same people who still buy CRT monitors because of the more warm and fuzzy image quality ;-)
