These delays have now been removed.

While investigating a hard fault on macOS when
trying to do mprotect(), I eventually stumbled
onto

https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromiumos/docs/+/master/constants/syscalls.md

983042 ARM_cacheflush

which worked perfectly (my heart was in my mouth as
I waited to see if that worked - and I nearly
misdiagnosed that it didn't work).

So anyway - this is a fantastic DOS-like machine now
that the major technical hurdle has been overcome.

BFN. Paul.
