A TSR worth a try in Vista (DOSX)

Ok, interesting. But you can also try this nice little program. It's a DOS TSR meant to run in XP NTVDM. It extends the crappy DPMI host with some of the more sophisticated DPMI v1.0 memory functions (int 31h, ax=504h, 506h and 507h). May be it also works well in Vista and allows to overcome the artificial 32MB memory limit, since the memory is allocated with the standard Win32 VirtualXXX functions. It's intended for HX's DKRNL32 mainly (where just the VDD is needed, not the DOS TSR), but who knows, it may work with DPJGG as well.
