-really-quiet works for me, no text displayed while playing .mpeg2 files. As to your fullscreen / zooming problem, could be it defaulting to 640x480 VESA LFB mode 0x4101? I noticed I had to either use the VBEPLUS utility, or manually adjust the settings via -zoom to get correct ratios, and only then the 4x3 aspect ratio worked, couldn't get -pixelaspect to work in 16:10 mode.

You got sound working on ICH soundcard? You mean AC97 ICH, right, now Intel High Definition audio?

I thought WSS stood for Windows Sound System, but that can't be right in this instance!

Also, I noticed this build was built without the -cvidix library?
