You pick the WSS code from this latest version? Did it changed significatnly from 2003? I meant that if it still alive to not interfere with code that MAME guys do, but if they didn't updated it for years then you have the living code in hands.

Maybe on first look, it's also question of time, which I also having less and less. I have some other DOS progs under work so I don't want to start another new thing. Also as I said I never did any sound programming so I don't have experiences with setting up DMA buffers etc...
