Me either. At this point, I can't imagine anyone saying C++ is easier than anything. (Ah, abstraction, whoopee.)

Not really, they aren't needed here (or in most instances, probably). If DOS had native LFN support and super long cmdlines like more bloated OSes, then it wouldn't need to support the old and new way of doing things. But since it does, it's bloated unless you tell it to explicitly remove it. (Most people don't care because it's not a big .EXE size these days.)
